The results from STK4030-f12 are now ready. Both the project reports and the finals were quite satisfactory.

The syllabus for STK4030-f12/STK9030-f12 can be found under "Lectures"

The exam project in STK4030-f12 will be posted at 9.am Thursday November 29'th and must be handed in before 17.pm Monday December 3'rd.

The finals in STK4030-f12/STK9030-f12 will consist of a project and an additional written exam. The dates will be announced later.

Two two parts will not be individually graded, but will count equally to the final mark.

For STK9030-f12 there will be an extra curriculum.

Welcome to STK4030-f12!

There will be no exercises Monday 8/20, and all three hours will be lectures. The plan is to cover the introductory chapter, sections 2.1-4 and the first part of section 2.5 in the textbook.

The textbook in STK4030-f12 will be: Hastie, T.J., Tibshirani, R.J. and Friedman, J. (2009). The elements of statistical learning: data mining, inference, and prediction. 2nd ed. Springer, New York.

There is a pdf version publically available. The material to be covered is large parts of chapters 1-9.
