Processing the Application

Applications which meet the formal requirements to the applicant, the application and its attachments,  will be assessed by an evaluation committee.  The committee's recommendation is presented to the University Board by the Rector.  The rector, on power of attorney from the University Board, makes the final decision. The decision cannot be appealed. 

All applicants receive written feedback on their application.  

Those who are awarded the title of Distinguished Educator will be notified by telephone a few days before the official announcement at UiO's Education Conference November 28th 2024.

Breivik represents UiO's Pedagogical Academy in the committee. 

Tone Dyrdal Solbrekke

Professor, Department of Education and Centre for Teaching and Learning (LINK), UiO.
Solbrekke  represents LINK in the committee.

Tone Fredsvik Gregers

Senior lecturer, scientific leader of the Centre for Teaching and Learning in Science (KURT), the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, UiO.
Gregers represents UiO's Pedagogical Academy in the committee. 
Arild Raaheim Professor, Department of Education, University of Bergen (UiB).
Raaheim is the external representative on the committee.
Elisabeth Hoksmo Olsen

Student Parliament, UiO
