Two-factor authentication is required for email at UiO. From 1 May 2023, IMAP will only be available for machines on UiO's wired and wireless networks. If you are outside UiO, you will not be able to read e-mail with IMAP with Apple Mail.
To still be able to read e-mail with Apple Mail, you must use Apple Mail with Exchange after this date. You are recommended to make this change already now!
Delete IMAP setup
- Go to System Settings... and select Internet Accounts from the menu on the left.
- Select the entry for your IMAP setup for UiO (blue icon with @)
- In the window for your IMAP setup, click the Delete Account... button.
