Due to wishes from you, the trial "exam" where you can check your equipment will be held on zoom already next week: Wed. May 12. at 14:15-16:00. I will post the zoom-link on the Canvas page.
I have also updated the exam info page accordingly.

For problem set 10, do exam v20. The solution to exam v20 will be available on Thursday May 13. (There is no exercise session that day, it is a holiday)
Oblig 2 is now available on Canvas.
The due date and time is Wed. Apr 28 at 8:00pm.
Feel free to work together (especially on the programming part). But beware: Each one of you responsible for what you hand in, so be sure that you do not just copy uncritically verbatim what your collaborators do.
In order to get the oblig. approved, you must have done a decent attempt on all the subproblems.
Good luck.
If you want to physically attend the lecture on March 15 in LilleFy you must register
Vidar will talk about oblig 1 tomorrow in the exercise session.

If you want to physically attend todays lecture in LilleFy you must register
Just to clarify:
Oblig 1 is due on Canvas on Wednesday March 10 at 8:00 pm.
Since there is no decent camera in Kristian Birkeland Aud. the Wednesday lectures will be held on Zoom only.
As long as the present covid regime holds:
Monday lectures will be held physically in LilleFy and streamed on Zoom. For the Monday lectures you need to register.
On Friday 26., the institute allowed physical lectures with up to 20 participants. Therefore, the lecture on Monday Mars 1. will be held physically in LilleFy. There will also be live streaming of the lecture on Zoom.
In order to attend you must register. Only the first 20 will be allowed to come, if you are able to register, you are among them.
Of course, the usual covid precautions should be taken, keep distance, stay at home if you are not well, etc..
Since there is considerable uncertainty in the covid situation you must be prepared that we might be forced to change back to pure digital teaching on a very short notice. Stay tuned.

"The lectures for week 3 will be held on zoom exclusively, no students allowed in the lecture rooms."
So we will follow that. Zoom-links are on the Canvas page.
I hope we can return to ordinary lectures as soon as possible.
Due to the corona-situation, the exam spring 2021 will be held as an oral exam with letter grades.
The course web-page will be updated.
Welcome to FYS4130.
I hope that we will have some fun in going thoroughly through the basics of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics.
Due to the corona pandemic, the first "lecture" with general introduction and information about the course will be given on Zoom on Wednesday Jan. 13.
