Remove network profiles
For certain wireless networks, a configuration file is needed to install certificates and security profiles. Eduroam is an example of this kind of wireless network, and this file will be downloaded and installed in "Profiles" on your mac. These files will be updated every so often due to security reasons, and this means we need to remove the old profile from our machine. You can read how this is done below.
- Open System Preferences.
- Choose Profiles in the bottom right corner. If you can't see the icon in the picture below, this means you have no profiles installed and nothing needs to be removed.
- Find the profile you wish to remove, click it and make sure it's marked in blue.
- Finally, choose the minus sign "-" at the bottom of the left column to remove the profile.
The profile is now removed.
