Register an Educloud Research project

NB: If you have applied for the creation of an Educloud project, but are wondering why nothing has happened yet, please contact us on ec-drift@uio.no. Please do not send in additional applications.

This page is about creating a new project in Educloud. For instructions on gaining access to an existing project, or gaining access to the Fox cluster, please see joining a project.

Register a new project

Currently, it is only possible for people with a norwegian ID-number to apply for a project.

  1. Go to research.educloud.no/register
  2. Select Request a new project
  3. Log in via ID-porten
  4. Fill out the form
    • Note: Please make sure to fill in you work-related email address, not a personal one
    • The form is only available in Norwegian. Please contact support for further help.
    • The form is signed via Posten Signering upon completion. Note that signing is a requirement.
    • We evaluate your application and create a project. When everything is ready, you will receive a welcome email with information on how to get started.

Note: All Educloud projects gain access to the high-performance computing cluster Fox automatically. For those who only want access to Fox, and no other Educloud services, it is possible to apply for membership in the project ec12. This option is mainly directed at UiO users, but users outside of UiO can also apply to ec12 should they want to test Fox before getting their own project.
